On Friday, June 21st, Shorewest proudly sponsored Shorewest Children’s Fest Day at Summerfest for the second consecutive year! This year’s Map of Fun featured an exciting “Outer Space” theme with numerous stops to keep families entertained all day long. Two local nonprofits joined Shorewest at the event: Milwaukee Habitat for Humanity, who presented a “demolition day” themed game and gave away construction hats for kids, and the Little Warrior Foundation, dedicated to funding research for Ewing Sarcoma, who brought a plinko-style game. Shorewest showcased a mural by Wisconsin-based artist Kiba Freeman and hosted a spin-the-wheel game with plenty of kid-friendly prizes!
“Shorewest was thrilled to be back at Summerfest again this year,” said Shorewest President, Joe Horning. “Our family of companies as a whole loves to give back to the communities that we serve and this is another spectacular way for us to not only bring joy to the children of Wisconsin, but to help shed some light on the work that our non-profit partners do. This is truly a highlight of the summer for our team.”
Shorewest provided free admission between noon and 3 PM. All children who completed the Map of Fun by 3 PM were entered to win a grand prize from Summerfest, which included tickets to various fun, local events in Milwaukee.
